Enrolment Information

When accepting a place at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School parents are giving their agreement to the School's program, philosophy and practice. To this end students will be required to be fully involved in the life of the School and its curricular and co-curricular activities.

Enrolment Policy

Lindisfarne will not be academically selective but will cater for students of all abilities. Although the date of registration will be a major factor (when deciding offers of places) at the School, preference will also be given to children of past students and siblings of children already enrolled. Every effort will be made to accept subsequent members of the family once one child has been enrolled.

Enrolment Applications

Enrolment applications are made online. On receipt of the application/s, the applicant will be listed with those wishing to enter the school in the same year and same year level. The completion of an enrolment application is not a guarantee of a place in the School. Please note there is a non-refundable application fee of $95.00 (incl GST) to be paid with the enrolment application.

Preparations for the allocation of placements begin on 1 March in the year preceding entry to the school. Information about enrolments and possible vacancies may be obtained from the Registrar or the Director of Community Engagement.

  • Children can enrol in the Preschool or Early Preschool Program the year that they turn four (4) years of age.
  • Children commencing Kindergarten should turn five (5) by 30 April of the year of entry to Kindergarten.
  • It is an expectation that children enrolled in Preschool will continue to Kindergarten. Parents whose children do not proceed to Kindergarten are required to provide one term's notice, in writing, to the Principal. The penalty for non-compliance will be payment of one term's fees being charged in lieu of notice.

Parents/guardians are asked to provide any relevant information that may be helpful in providing for their child's education.

Enrolment Offers

Those offered a place are required to sign the Enrolment Acceptance and return it to the school together with the non-refundable enrolment acceptance fee of $460.00 per child or $820.00 per family.

It should be noted that when an Enrolment Acceptance is signed, parents/guardians agree:

  • To be bound by the rules and regulations of the school.
  • That all fees and charges are due and payable each term.
  • That in the event of a term's fees and charges not being paid within six weeks of commencement of the term, notice may be given requiring the student to be withdrawn from the school pending payment of all outstanding monies.
  • That the school reserves the right to suspend a student for disciplinary purposes whether temporarily or permanently without refund of fees and charges.
  • That in the event of sickness or injury at school, the school may take action to obtain necessary medical and/or hospital care and attention.

Sibling Priority

​As demand for places at Lindisfarne continues to grow, it is more important than ever for current families to ensure that all siblings are enrolled well in advance of their start year. The cut-off date for sibling priority for 2022 is Friday, 5 February 2021. Sibling applications received after this date will be wait-listed according to application date as per non-sibling applications. 

Student Withdrawal Policy

  • A Student Withdrawal Form must be completed by Parent/guardians and returned to the Registrar one full term in advance if they wish to withdraw a student. Failure to do this may result in a term's fee being charged in lieu of notice.
  • This form is available from the Sunshine Avenue Administration Office, Mahers Lane Administration Office or the Student Administration - Mahers Lane.

Extended Absentee Policy

  • Students who plan to be absent from school for one term or more must give notice to the Principal in writing. Students will be charged full tuition fees during their absence if they wish to maintain their placement in the school. Students will not be charged the Course Levy during the time that they are absent.
  • Current students partaking in an overseas exchange study program must give one term's notice to the Principal in writing. Students will be exempt from paying tuition and course levy fees whilst completing their study program.

Preschool - Days of Attendance Policy

  • Parents must give five weeks notice in writing to the Director of Early Learning if they wish to change the number of days attending Preschool eg: currently attending five days but wish to change to four days.
  • Parents must give a week's notice in writing to the Director of Early Learning if they wish to increase days or change days attending. This request will be subject to availability.

During the year prior to proposed entry, an interview with the Principal or other appropriate staff will be arranged.
