Commencing Immediately

Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School is seeking to appoint two canteen conveners for the Mahers Lane and Sunshine Avenue Campuses. The canteens aspire to providing nutritious, hygienic and economically viable food choices to the School community, and to support healthy lifestyle messages. The Canteen Convener role plays an integral part in realising this goal by developing a sense of community and cooperation with students, parents and staff.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Enjoy interacting with students, staff and parents
  • Supervise the operation of the Canteen, on a day to day basis
  • Develop menu and prices for each term in consultation with the Food Services Manager and Business Manager
  • Work with the Food Services Manager to ensure food choices align with the Healthy School Canteen Strategy
  • Ensure efficient food preparation and stock ordering
  • Check orders and creditor invoices
  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of all canteen equipment and ensure that they are in good working order
  • Have a keen understanding of responsibilities to adhere to food compliance regulations
  • Have an understanding of and commitment to the Anglican Christian ethos of the School
  • Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check (or be eligible to apply for one).
